Nenad Gligoric Chief Executive Officer at Zentrix Lab recently concluded a productive, three-day workshop from 24-27 August 2023, where key stakeholders came together to co-create the CLIMOS EWS platform. This innovative Early Warning System (EWS) is designed to address sand fly population linked to climate change, and the diseases they cause.
The event, which utilized strategic foresight methods and design thinking, involved structured brainstorming sessions and inspirational talks. The main objective was to map out challenges and stakeholder needs.
Following the model of the European Forum Alpbach (EFA) Labs, the workshop brought together a curated group of experts, including policymakers, scientists, civil society members, and business leaders. This interdisciplinary approach, a hallmark of the EFA Labs, is designed to foster cross-cutting alliances and tackle important questions from various perspectives. The Lab’s ultimate goal is to lay the groundwork for strategic cooperation that will continue long after the event.
Labs like this one and the MEGA Hackathon—focused on financial literacy for youth—are essential for a “Bold Europe,” as they foster collaboration and create innovative solutions to pressing issues.
